Monday's forecast: Temps in the 40s with cloudy skies

HOUSTON – The cold front that moved through Sunday left some bitterly cold temperatures in the Houston area Monday morning.

We started out with temperatures below freezing and wind chills in the teens.

Local 2 Meteorologist Anthony Yanez says we will only warm into the mid 40s Monday afternoon with cloudy skies.

We have a threat of freezing rain Tuesday morning north of a line from Wharton, Tomball and Cleveland.

It looks like Houston will get more of a cold rain Tuesday morning with temperatures above freezing.

Check back with Frank Billingsley and the other Local 2 meteorologists this afternoon to see if there are any change to the forecast.
