Labor Day forecast: Hot, humid with a possible pop-up shower

HOUSTON – The Labor Day forecast is calling for highs in the mid 90s inland and in the upper 80s, low 90s along the coast.

Houston is expected to hit 95 degrees by mid-afternoon. Galveston will experience a high of 90 degrees.

A few isolated rain showers rode along the coastline at lunchtime. There still is a slight chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms for southeast Texas into Monday night.

Monday night will be partly cloudy with lows in the upper 70s.

On Tuesday, there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms with daytime highs in the mid 90s.

This unsettled and hot weather pattern will continue through the rest of the week.
