Cold front arrives to cool things off Sunday

Chilly weather hits Houston

HOUSTON ā€“ The much anticipated cold front moved off the coast late Saturday evening, bringing with it breezy cooler temperatures that will bring out sweaters and jackets.

Sunday morning temperatures are expected to dip into the low 50s near the coast and into the upper 40s in some of the outlying interior communities.

Because of expected overcast skies, the Sunday high temperatures are not expected to get out of the 60s for most areas. We can also expect a 10% chance of drizzle through the early part of the day.

This cool trend is expected to stick around through Monday morning when the temps will once again start in the low 50s but will warm to the low 70s.

It is a short lived cool down as the temperatures start trending higher by mid week and by the weekend the temperatures should be in the upper 80s and low 90s with a 20% chance of rain starting Wednesday.
