Heaviest storms push east of Houston, showers and storms likely tonight

Tonight’s Forecast:

Storms have been rolling through SE Texas. Watch our current radar here!

Showers and storms will be likely until 11PM. Some of these storms could produce heavy rainfall and gusty winds. Through the overnight we will have mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the 70s and upper-60s by Tuesday morning.

Tuesday’s Forecast:

Tuesday will start off mostly cloudy with temperatures in the upper-60s. Through the day the skies will clear, and by the afternoon we will have mostly sunny skies with thighs right around 90 degrees. This could be our first 90 degree day since last October.

Monday’s Forecast:

Our weather today has the potential to be dangerous. Our northern counties are under a flood watch until 7 p.m. tonight. It won’t take much rain to get flooding. We also have an enhanced threat of severe weather for parts of Southeast Texas.

The severe weather parameters for large hail and damaging winds are being met. The threat of tornadoes is low, at 2%. The storms are forecast to move out late tonight.

Timing of the storms:

As of 1:30 p.m. Monday, a line of strong storms was already approaching from the west. Other models show the heaviest rain arriving tonight.
