Tonight’s Forecast:
Tonight we have a severe weather threat. Between 9pm and 1am a cold front moves through SE Texas. This front brings a severe weather threat specifically for large hail, so if you can park your car in a garage or under covered parking tonight I would certainly recommend that. The greatest threat for severe storms is north of I-10.
Friday’s Forecast:
After Thursday’s storms, winds will blow out of the northeast Friday. The direction of the wind will help push wildfire smoke from Central America south and pull in drier, more comfortable air from the north. That dry air will settle in only for a few days before humidity increases.
Friday morning temperatures stay above average in the low and mid 70s with highs warming to the upper 80s.
Mother’s Day Weekend:
While Friday is still warm, the humidity will be lower. You’ll notice this most Saturday morning as we start the day in the 60s. Heads up for Mother’s Day. We have a flood threat Sunday and Monday.
10-Day Forecast:
Temperatures climb Tuesday of next week with the humidity back Wednesday. More storms are possible Thursday and Friday of next week.
