Showers advancing towards the coast. Here's what to expect with the rest of the day. ~Caroline
Our showers and thunderstorms have dropped anywhere from 0.5-2.0" of rainfall across the region. These storms are continuing to push towards the coast bringing heavy downpours and frequent lightning strikes.
Once these storms clear the coast we will be mostly cloudy, humid and warm with afternoon highs in the mid-80s.
Tonight we have our hurricane special airing at 7PM on KPRC and KPRC 2+. Conditions will be mostly cloudy and calm tonight with overnight lows dropping to the mid-70s.
Thursday we will be dry and hot. Expect mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the mid-90s (but feeling up to 105).
