Texans WR Jaelen Strong arrested for possession of marijuana

HOUSTON – Texans wide receiver Jaelen Strong was arrested Sunday in Scottsdale, Arizona, for possession of marijuana,
according to multiple reports.

Scottsdale police pulled over a black Maserati around midnight for not having a visible license plate. Strong and Brayon Colley were passengers, and the driver was identified as Damarious Randall.

Officers said they smelled a strong odor of marijuana as they approached the vehicle and asked the three occupants if they had marijuana or if they had medical marijuana cards.

Police said Strong admitted to having marijuana, but no medical card. Police confiscated three marijuana cigarettes and arrested Strong. Randall and Colley were released.

The Texans released this statement on the arrest:

“The Houston Texans are aware of the incident regarding WR Jaelen Strong in Scottsdale, Ariz. We are disappointed in the choices Jaelen made to put himself in this situation. We will have no further comment at this time.”
