Rice University Political Science Professor Robert Stein says the second Obama term will likely be just as contentious as the first.  Texas Southern Political Science Professor Franklin Jones says that in Obama's mind, his second term will be viewed as a success. University of Houston Professor Nancy Beck Young, whose expertise is the history of presidents, weighs in on how history is likely to view the presidency of Barack Obama.  All of this week's guests are asked about how Texas will fare under the Obama administration in his final term.

Triple Negative Breast Cancer is killing African American women.

Karen Jackson is a 20-year breast cancer survivor and 19 years ago started the Sisters Network to help African American women find support. Now Sisters Network is a national organization and on Jan. 26 at HCC West Loop, will host the first of a 10-city conference tour to help African American women decrease the odds of them dying in disproportionally high numbers. She is joined by Dr. Angel Rodriguez from the Methodist Triple Negative Breast Cancer Clinic. Potentially life-saving advice will come from this very important segment.

25th Anniversary of the Dr. Martin Luther King Memorial Breakfast

The North Houston Frontiers Club has raised $1 million in scholarships from the proceeds from this annual celebration of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This year's breakfast will be at the Hilton Americas at 8a.m. on the MLK holiday with actress Jasmine Guy as the keynote speaker. Joining Khambrel are Wilma Evans, president of the North Frontiers Club and Shirley Carter Williams, breakfast chair, to talk about the breakfast details and how you can help their scholarship effort all year long.
