Woman thrown from motorcycle, off overpass in crash No description found
HOUSTON – A woman was killed in a motorcycle crash on the exit ramp to the West Loop on the Katy Freeway.
Police said the motorcycle hit the outside wall of the ramp at about 12:30 a.m. Monday. A 26-year-old female passenger was thrown off the bike and down to the feeder road. She was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where she died.
The man driving the motorcycle drove it to where the woman landed and tried to help her, police said. He was treated for minor injuries and is expected to be OK.
Police said both were wearing helmets.
The man was detained at the scene and released.
Police are investigating the cause of the wreck.
