HOUSTON – A young mother of four is dead after she was attacked by her husband last week.
Belkis Gutierrez had spent the last week fighting for her life in the hospital.
Last Tuesday night she was stabbed a dozen times while on her way to work.
Her husband, 27-year-old Pablo Gutierrez Jr., is facing charges of aggravated assault for the attack.
Belkis' mother spoke to KPRC on Monday.
According to court documents, Pablo has a history of assaulting Belkis. He is being held in the Harris County Jail without bond. He is expected in court next month.
