Houston Auto Show preparations underway

HOUSTON – Hundreds of the newest vehicles will be on display this week at the Houston Auto Show, including one very expensive car making its debut in the Bayou City.

Local 2 was there as brand new cars rolled into NRG Center Monday morning from brand new BMW's to Acuras. There were cranes are all over the floor as crews hoisted signs and got things ready for the 2015 Houston Auto Show.

"What you see is the finalization of the move-in. Cars will start to flow in. Crews have been working all weekend setting up the space, unloading," said Wyatt Wainwright, with the Houston Auto Show.

Thousands of people will walk through here to get a peek at cars they may want to drive or even dream about. There's even a simulator.

There will also be more than a dozen cars on display that will be making their Texas debuts Houston. Some of those include the Lexus iS, RCF Sport, the Dodge Ram Rebel truck and Jeep Renegade. And many car enthusiasts are gearing up to see the Pagani, valued at nearly $2 million.

"The car stickers for a little over $1.9 million, so, no, it's not cheap in my book," said Wainwright.

The Houston Auto Show runs from Jan. 21-25. Click here to get more information and tickets for the show.
