Vandals sought for covering vehicles in white paint in Spring

SPRING, Texas – A Spring area man is personally offering a reward to whoever can help sheriff’s deputies catch the person who splattered his and another person’s car with paint.

Craig Edwards bought a candy-apple red Honda Accord about a month-and-a-half ago. Two days ago, he walked out to his driveway to find the car covered in white paint.

"My first impression was, 'Wow, who has it out for me, for what reason, for what purpose?’" Edwards said.

Edwards has lived in the Creekside Village neighborhood and said he's never had any trouble.

"When I get out of my car, I'm looking around, up at night looking out my windows, just feel very uneasy now," Edwards said.

Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies told KPRC another car in the nearby Legends Ranch neighborhood was also hit with paint on May 16.

Deputies have no motive for the vandalism but believe the cases are related since the same white, water-based paint was thrown on the cars.

Both car owners were able to wash off the paint.

Still, Edwards is personally offering a reward for any information that will help catch the person or persons who vandalized the cars. He declined to state how much of a reward he is offering to the public.

"It really put me in a position of unease until this person is caught, hoping they won't continue to do this to myself and other people," said Edwards.

If you know anything about this vandalism, you are asked to call the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
