Eastex Freeway reopened at Townsen after 18-wheeler catches fire, splits in half
HUMBLE, Texas – All lanes of Eastex Freeway at Townsen in Humble are reopen after a tractor trailer caught fire.
Officials said as the fire burned the truck was split in half. The trailer was carrying barrels of an unknown material. Hazmat crews were called to the scene.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
It is unclear how long the lanes will be closed as the Houston Fire Department works to put out the flames and clean up the mess.
No injuries were reported.
