HOUSTON – Both of Houston's major airports are adding new national and international routes.
The Houston Airport System said George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) has added flights to Beijing, China; Wilmington, Delaware; and Vail, Colorado. Houston's William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) has added routes to Boston, Massachusetts; Memphis, Tennessee; and Washington's Reagan National Airport.

Airport officials said Air China will begin service in Houston with a nonstop flight to Beijing on July 11, 2013. The carrier will operate four weekly flights from IAH, flying directly to Beijing Capital International Airport. This move will make Houston one of only four U.S. cities to offer Air China's nonstop service to Beijing, joining New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
On July 1, Frontier Airlines started its new nonstop service between IAH and New Castle Airport (ILG) in Wilmington, Delaware. The nonstop flight to Wilmington features a 4:20 p.m. departure time.
United Airlines now offers a nonstop flight, five days a week from IAH to Vail Valley, Colorado. Round-trip service will be available five days a week through August 25.
jetBlue Airways will add two daily flights between Boston's Logan International Airport and Hobby Airport starting July 25. Passengers flying jetBlue to Boston will have an option for a 10:35 a.m. or 5:20 p.m. departure time. Southwest Airlines launched their nonstop service from Hobby to Boston in June.
Southwest Airlines will begin service between Hobby and Memphis International Airport (MEM) on November 3. The airline also plans to begin nonstop service between Hobby and Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) in Washington, D.C on August 4.
