Texans might hold early part of training camp in West Virginia, sources say

Sources tell KPRC2 Randy Mcllvoy that there is talk that the Texans might hold the early part of their training camp at The Greenbrier resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.

Bob McNair spoke to Mcllvoy and said that moving training camp to West Virginia might be beneficial to the team.

“One of the issues we have debated from our first day here is what the effect of the heat and humidity is in training camp, and whether that puts our team at a disadvantage by staying here,” McNair said.  “We want to do what’s best for the team.” 

In 2014 and 2015, the New Orleans Saints held their preseason training camp at The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia.
