Teenage girl possibly sexually assaulted while jogging in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – A teenage girl was possibly sexually assaulted Tuesday afternoon while jogging in The Woodlands, according to the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable's Office.

Deputy constables said the 14-year-old girl was jogging around 4:45 p.m. near the 4700 block of Lake Woodlands Drive.

According to investigators, the girl was running along the greenbelt when an unknown man approached her from behind and possibly sexually assaulted her.

She was taken by ambulance to Hermann Hospital where an examination was performed the final results are still pending

The Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable's Office and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office are working together to arrest the man.

The attacker is described as a white man, 30-40 years old with black clothing and facial hair.

Resident Craig Rickard said his wife saw the police activity Tuesday night.

"There's cops and there appeared to be some sort of lady who was outside. I'm not sure who was the victim, who was just a passerby. But they were out looking for clues and people. They came down pretty hard. Pretty aggressive," Rickard said.
