Son shoots mother in Harris County, deputies say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance between a mother and son that turned violent Saturday evening.

The disturbance began inside a house near Canyon Crest and Pebble Mill lanes around 11:30 p.m., deputies said.

According authorities, the son became erratic during the argument, grabbed a gun and started shooting.

A bullet hit his mother. She was rushed to hospital in serious but stable condition, officials said.

She was expected to survive. The son was taken into custody, according to authorities.
