Several people injured in bounce house accident at school carnival

HOUSTON – Ten people were injured Friday afternoon after strong winds blew a bounce house across a football field during a carnival at the River Oaks Baptist School, according to administrators.

Witnesses told KPRC 2 the play structure was blown at least 30 yards off from its original spot before it hit a nearby fence at the school located in 2300 block of Willowick Road.

Multiple kids were inside the house at the time, and parents rushed to help them out.

Sky 2 aerials showed one person on a stretcher being wheeled into an ambulance vehicle.

School administrators later released a statement saying, "Our highest priority is the safety of our students and families, and we ask that you join us in keeping them in your prayers."

Officials said those hurt had non-life-threatening injuries.
