Search for missing League City mother temporarily suspended

LEAGUE CITY, Texas – Texas EquuSearch temporarily suspended its search for a missing mother in League City Wednesday.

Anne Christine Johnson, 30, has been missing since Dec. 8. Her ex-husband told police he last saw her outside his home in League City that day. He said she left in a white sedan with a man, according to investigators.

Crews have searched a wooded area near the ex-husband’s home, between State Highway 35 and Interstate 45.

Johnson’s mother told Channel 2 that it is very unlike her daughter to just disappear, especially since she has a special-needs child, who requires specific care.

Johnson had recently started working as a cocktail waitress at Legend’s Sports Grill in League City. She called in sick the very week she was reported missing and nobody has heard from her since.

If you have any information about what happened to Johnson, call League City police at 409-948-2525.
