Ex-school bus driver charged with indecent exposure

Roger Lee Warren was arrested during an undercover sting

HOUSTON – A former Humble Independent School District bus driver was arrested after an undercover sting conducted by the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office.

Mercer Arboretum in Humble is known for its beautiful gardens, but recently it was the center of a sting operation.

"We started getting complaints about males acting suspiciously around the Mercer Park restroom area," Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said.

So Precinct 4 conducted an undercover operation on Friday. They said that's when they caught Roger Lee Warren exposing himself and trying to initiate sex acts with the undercover officer in a bathroom.

"It was very apparent that he had obviously done this before. Just the way he acted around our undercover officer," Herman said.

Warren, 66, was charged with indecent exposure, a class B misdemeanor.

"The good thing is we got this guy off the streets. This is a community park that kids and families go to and there is no place for conduct like that in our society," Herman said.

The school district said Warren reported the incident to his supervisor and resigned Tuesday.

Humble ISD released a statement to KPRC 2 that read in part, "The district works in partnership with law enforcement to promote safety and well-being. The incident is being addressed through the justice system."

Warren is free after posting a $500 bond.
