Rodeo concert-goer tackled by officials at Miranda Lambert concert

HOUSTON – A Houston Rodeo concert-goer was arrested at the Miranda Lambert concert Monday night.

Richard Worley, 50, is charged with criminal trespass.

A viewer sent pictures of the arrest. Sarah Johnson said she was at the concert when she snapped the photos. The images show officials detaining Worley and holding him down on the floor.

Johnson said rodeo officials tackled Worley to the floor right after Lambert walked off stage. The truck that was supposed to take Lambert off the stage rushed to the scene.

Natali Perez also attended the concert. Perez shot cell phone video of Worley being carried out of the stadium.

"We saw all the tackling and we were like, 'Oh dang, they were hardcore,'" Perez said.

Rodeo officials said in a statement: "We confirm that yes there was an arrest for criminal trespassing, due to someone entering the arena. We make announcements that no spectators are allowed in the arena except for chute seat holders during the concert."

We're told security tackled Worley who apparently had roses in his hands.

"I think he was just trying to give her flowers," Perez said. "I wouldn't jump the fence. I would maybe send her a flower emoji."

Police said Worley was reported missing Tuesday morning in Zolfo Springs, Florida. He told friends and family that he was going to a Miranda Lambert concert.
