Pregnant woman says she witnessed husband being killed

HOUSTON โ€“ A pregnant woman said Monday she witnessed the shooting death of her husband in north Harris County.

The shooting was reported about 1 a.m. at the intersection of Hartwick and Aldine Westfield roads.

Harris County deputies said the coupleโ€™s car broke down about 12:30 a.m. at the intersection. They said a white or silver Chevrolet SUV drove up behind the car and the driver began honking and using the SUV to push the coupleโ€™s car.

Investigators said the victim, identified as Oscar Reyes, got out of the car and began arguing with the driver of the SUV. The SUV driver pulled out a gun and shot Reyes several times. Reyesโ€™ wife jumped out of the car and ran for safety.

Deputies said a driver in a white Chevy pickup ran over Reyesโ€™ body.

Surveillance video from the scene shows the SUV driving away from the scene.

Reyesโ€™ wife described the gunman as a Hispanic man with a muscular build, little hair and covered in tattoos.
