Congressional candidate Mike Webb is learning how to be more cautious when he takes a screenshot.

Webb, who is running for U.S. Congress in Virginia's 8th Congressional District, took a screenshot Monday of his computer screen to show a Facebook post.

He apparently didn't realize that porn websites " Layla Rivera tight body" and "Ivone sexy amateur" were still open and being displayed in the tabs at the top of his browser.

It doesn't appear that Webb denied or admitted that he was viewing the websites, but he later shared a long post on his Facebook page that somewhat addressed the screenshot:

"THANKS FOR THE TAB CHECK, RANGER BUDDIES," he wrote to start the post. He then quoted a verse in the Bible: "For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."

Webb referred to the screenshot as a "notorious post" and that it reached almost 200,000 people.

"I certainly received my share of 'interesting' comments, but no more out of the ordinary than what I have received since beginning this quest," he wrote.

Webb said he appreciated people's encouragement and support.

"Lessons affirmed today include that we do expect our leaders to be examples of our highest ideals, but also, as we have seen for almost a year in a non-traditional length posts, people are interested and motivated by truth and substance, or flash or even scandal," he wrote.

Webb noted that his social media presence increased by 25 percent in just a day.

"Perhaps, what does not kill you does make you stronger," he wrote.

He ended his post by writing: "In 2016, it's about choice; it's about leadership; and about time. I am Mike Webb, and I am running for U.S. Congress. Honest."
