Motorcycle rider injured in Meyerland crash dies in hospital

HOUSTON – A motorcycle rider who was critically injured in an accident earlier this month in southwest Houston has died from his injuries, according to police. 

The accident happened Nov. 17 in the 5200 block of North Braeswood Blvd. between South Rice Avenue and Chimney Rock Road in Meyerland.

Police said a Jeep failed to stop at a stop sign and hit the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, identified by family members as Alfred Doss Jr., was transported to Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition.

Police said Doss, 43, died at the hospital on Nov. 25.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help with Doss' funeral expenses.

The Jeep's driver did not show signs of intoxication, according to police. No charges have been filed.
