Woman drowns at senior living home in southwest Houston

HOUSTON – A woman died in what police said was an accidental drowning at a senior living center in southwest Houston.

Officers were called just before 6 a.m. to University Place Senior Living Memorial Hermann in the 7400 block of Beechnut.

An employee told Channel 2 that a woman, who has not been identified, fell into a large pool.

Police continue to investigate the woman's death.
