Police investigate after security guard killed in attack, police say

A security guard died Saturday after he was shot by two men, according to police.

A witness told police that two men walked up to James Flemming Bowman, who was sitting in his car, about 3:30 a.m. Saturday at the corner of Lansdale Drive and Concourse Drive, police said.

The two men attacked Bowman and held him at gunpoint, according to police. 

Authorities said Bowman attempted to fight back, and the men shot him in the stomach and fled the scene with a woman.

Police a the witness found Bowman unresponsive and called 911.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said there was a possible struggle for Bowman's car keys.

Homicide detectives are investigating the incident and looking for the accused gunmen.
