Police investigate after man found in pond at Hermann Park golf course

HOUSTON – The Houston Police Homicide division is investigating after a body was found in a pond at Hermann Park golf course.

Witnesses found Larry Cowart, 67, in a water hazard near the 7th hole around noon on May 23.

His cause of death will be determined after autopsy has concluded.

Police believe Cowart was homeless and living in the area.
