Parents accuse substitute teacher of inappropriately touching, kissing children in school

HOUSTON – Upset parents gathered outside Looscan Elementary School late Friday afternoon demanding answers after they said a substitute first grade teacher was removed from campus when at least one student accused him of inappropriately touching her.

One first grade student said the teacher kissed her on the mouth.

"I did not like it. I did not understand why he did it," the student said.

The parents who showed up to school Friday said they found out about the alleged incidents from the parents of the students who claim they were inappropriately touched by the teacher.

Veronica Lopez got the call in the morning.

"This teacher was touching the girls and kissing them on their mouth, and when the parents showed up, this teacher was escorted to his vehicle and took off," Lopez said.

Parents said they have yet to hear anything from the principal.

"I thought the worst, because my son is in first grade, so when he told me (he) had a substitute yesterday, that was my concern, was that the substitute?" Christina Gutierrez said.

The mother of another student said her daughter was touched by the teacher, too. The mother said the teacher would touch her daughter on the legs and would kiss her on the mouth.
