Pair dressed as HEB employees robs store, beats up worker

Robbery happened May 21, police say

HOUSTON – Police said they are looking for two men who robbed an HEB store in southwest Houston and attacked one of the employees.

The robbery happened about 10:35 p.m. May 21, at the intersection of Braeswood Boulevard and Chimney Rock Road.

According to Houston police, the men were wearing red HEB hooded sweatshirts when they walked into the store. They gained access to the main office after they were mistaken for employees.

Once in the office, police said, one of the men threatened an employee with a gun and beat him up, while the other man stole the employee’s cellphone and swiped money from the safe.

Both robbers were described as 20 to 25 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 140 pounds. One of the men wore red Adidas shoes. The other man had braided hair.
