2 arrested, woman sought in aggravated robbery investigation in San Jacinto County

SAN JACINTO COUNTY, Texas – A six-month robbery investigation is nearing its end as San Jacinto County deputies wait for a final suspect to turn herself in.

Deputies arrested Shon Tene Gilbert, 37, Thursday at a home on Davey Lane in Coldspring. Gilbert is one of four suspects charged in the investigation, officers said.

Investigators with the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation started Feb. 5 after two women reported having been robbed at gunpoint in the Maynard area. Deputies arrested suspected gunman Kavin Roberts, 34, on June 1.

An arrest warrant was issued for 33-year-old Yolanda Lawson — one of the two women who reported to being robbed in February — at her home Thursday, but Lawson wasn't there.

Authorities were able to call Lawson’s cellphone and give her an opportunity to turn herself in, deputies said.

Anyone with information regarding Lawson’s whereabouts is asked to call Sgt. Neil Adams at 9366-653-4367 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-7867 if they wish to remain anonymous.

Editor's Note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly identified the female suspect as Peace Sewell.
