Galveston detectives find new type of meth, searching for drug dealer

GALVESTON, Texas – Galveston police said they discovered bright orange-colored meth when they were executing an arrest warrant Wednesday. 

According to police, detectives conducted an undercover investigation and found that 24-year-old Justin Boss was selling methamphetamine. Boss is already wanted for the offense of terroristic threat and for violating his parole/probation.

When officers tried to arrest Boss in the 1300 block of 55th Street, he managed to evade detectives. 

When detectives searched the residence, they said they found several other people there including 22-year-old April Hebert, 29-year-old Joshua Ontiveros, and 24-year-old Alan Bennecke. They were all charged with possession of a controlled substance, greater than 1 gram but less than 4 grams. 

They also discovered 3.73 grams of methamphetamine, 1.1 grams of heroin, 12.8 grams of marijuana, 26.10 grams of dilaudid, and 5.45 grams of lorazepam. 

The meth was a bright orange color rather than the normal white color.
