Month-long prostitution sting in southeast Houston nets 25 arrests

HOUSTON – Charges have been filed against 25 suspects arrested in a month-long prostitution initiative in southeast Houston. 

In an effort to decrease prostitution demand, investigators in the Houston Police Department Vice Division, along with officers from the HPD Southeast Patrol Differential Response Team (DRT), conducted three separate initiatives near the 8300 block of the Gulf Freeway from Nov. 19 through Dec. 15.

Twenty-four men attempted to buy sex in exchange for money and were taken into custody.  One woman was also taken into custody. 

The men are charged with prostitution and identified as:  Julian Madise, 24; Abram C. Jaime, 47,
Maurice R. Harvey, 47; Thomas Tyrell Jones, 31; Omar Barcenas-Ruiz, 33; Mitchell Patterson, 33; Antonio Y. Garza, 42; Demeatrice Quincy Poole, 57;Inoencio Delgado-Martinez, 41; Jose Luis Tristan Coronado, 58; Ezquiel Covarrubias, 25; Alberto Salazar, Jr., 24; John L. Scott, 48; Ronald Lewis Robinson, 62; Anthony Sandoval, 22; Samuel Vega, 34; Rodolfo Silva, 20; Geovanni Diaz-Gonzalez, 24; Rudy Cruz, 34; Jose Cruz Quintanilla, 40; Felipe Hernandez, 39; Miguel Garcia, 19; James Cozad, 60; Theodore Owens, 49.

The woman, Rhonda Caraway, 47, is charged with prostitution.
