Marijuana plants discovered after mobile home fire in Magnolia, officials say

MAGNOLIA, Texas – Magnolia firefighters found two marijuana plants Monday after battling a mobile home fire in Magnolia, officials said.

The fire was reported at 10:30 a.m. at a duplex mobile home in the 31000 block of Primrose Road.

Once the flames were contained, firefighters noticed drug activity and notified a deputy fire marshal, who arrived to investigate, officials said.

Once the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office got wind of the investigation, a search warrant was issued since there were no occupants at home during the investigation, officials said.

Detectives said 2 ounces of marijuana and two marijuana plants were recovered.

The occupants of the home were charged with possession of marijuana.

Authorities are continuing an investigation.
