Man's body found in bayou in northeast Houston

HOUSTON – Homicide detectives with the Houston Police Department are investigating after the body of a man was found in a bayou on Sunday.

Investigators said that pedestrians found the man's nude body floating in a bayou near Cavalcade Street and Lockwood Drive and called 911. The Houston Police Department's dive team recovered the body.

Officials said the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy on the man, who is believed to be between 30 and 40 years of age, to determine his cause of death.

Police said there appeared to be no signs of foul play on the man's body.
