Man steals two necklaces worth more than $4,700

RICHMOND, Texas – A man stole two necklaces worth thousands of dollars from a Fred Meyer Jewelers store.

Employees said he walked into the store in the 8000 block of Highway 99 around 1 p.m. on June 15.

He asked to see a gold necklace, which the clerk retrieved and handed to the man, deputies said.

The clerk also pulled out a second necklace, which she was still holding when the man grabbed it and ran out of the store, according to reports.

Deputies said the two necklaces are worth more than $4,700.

The thief is described as a 30-year-old man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 155 pounds. He had no facial hair, and his hair was cropped in the back. Deputies said he was wearing a camouflage University of Texas baseball cap, a long-sleeved camouflage shirt, blue jeans and brown boots at the time of the crime.
