Man shot in head, killed during deadly drug deal in Conroe

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Montgomery County detectives have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the deadly shooting of a 22-year-old man during a drug deal, according to a report from the county.

Just before 10 p.m. on Jan. 22, detectives said Mark Anthony Guidry Jr., from Willis, along with four friends, went to the 11800 block of Megan Drive in Conroe to buy drugs from Joseph Gaige Blunt.

Friends brought Guidry to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head, according to the release. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Detectives believe the shooting is narcotics related based on information from witnesses.

Blunt was taken into custody and evidence was gathered from the residence, police said.
