HOUSTON – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a home invasion and shooting in northwest Harris County.
Deputies said around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, a man kicked in the front door of a home in the 13500 block of West Red Birch Way. One person was inside at the time of the break-in officials said. According to investigators, the intruder shot the man, who deputies said is not the homeowner.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooter is still on the loose.
