Man shot to death in Fantasy Cabaret parking lot in north Houston, police say

HOUSTON – A man was found shot to death Tuesday after reports of a shooting in the parking lot of Fantasy Plaza Cabaret in north Houston on March 14.

Houston police officers were called to the 8500 block of North Freeway around 2:30 a.m.

Witnesses told Houston Police Department investigators there was an altercation in the back parking lot of the club.

The suspected shooter got into a blue GMC pickup truck and fired at least one shot, hitting the victim in the chest, and then drove away, investigators said.

The victim, a man in his 20s or early 30s, drove his car to the 600 block of Dewalt Street, stopped in the middle of the road and died inside the vehicle, police said.

Police said a friend was inside the vehicle at the time of the victim's death.

Police are not sure if the victim and shooter were inside the club.

No arrests have been made.
