Man hospitalized after crashing truck into Lake Conroe No description found
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – A man had to be rescued after driving his truck into Lake Conroe Wednesday.
Witnesses said that around 7 p.m. the driver of a dodge pickup sped into the Walden Marina, hit a curb and launched into the lake. Good Samaritans jumped in the 16-feet-deep body of water, broke the truck's window and pulled the driver to safety, police said.
The driver was taken to Conroe Regional Hospital. He was listed in stable condition.
Dive teams found the truck about 20 feet off shore. A rescue boat towed the vehicle to a waiting wrecker.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
