Man chased, shot in parking lot of Pearland apartments

PEARLAND, Texas – Police are investigating after a man was shot at an apartment complex in Pearland early Friday.
The shooting happened at the Villas at Shadow Creek apartments in the 2000 block of Business Center.

Police arrived to find the victim lying in the parking lot of the apartments around 1 a.m. Police say someone chased him on foot, and opened fire. There were at least 20 shell casings found on the sidewalk.
He was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious condition.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
