A clerk told deputies that around 8:15 p.m. a white man wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans entered the store. The clerk said the man walked up to the register with his hand in the front pocket of his hoodie and demanded all the money in the register while pointing with one hand and keeping the other hand in the pocket. The clerk thought the man had a gun and handed over money from the register. The man left the scene on a bicycle.

Just over a week later, on Feb. 2 around 9:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Valero Corner Store at 12464 FM 3083 in reference to another robbery.

The store clerk told authorities that a white man wearing black pants and a dark blue hoodie entered the store. The clerk said the man came to the counter, covered his face and left his other hand in his pocket. The man demanded the money in the register, and the clerk complied. The man left the scene on a bicycle.

After reviewing video surveillance, deputies said Brian Lee Taylor Jr., 20, was responsible for both robberies.

Taylor is currently in the Harris County Jail on unrelated charges and will be extradited to Montgomery County once the charges in Harris County are handled.
