Man shot by Montgomery County deputy constables after pointing weapon at them in Porter

Suspect also fired shot at deputy before fleeing on foot

PORTER, Texas – A suspect is currently in the hospital after he was shot by Montgomery County Precinct 4 deputy constables after he pointed a weapon at them.

The Precinct 4 Constable’s Office said they pulled over a vehicle at the Fuel Max located at the corner of Valley Ranch Pkwy and Azalea Blvd. in Porter.

During the stop, a deputy discovered the passenger in the vehicle, identified as Jeremy Hebert, 19, of Palestine, TX, had an outstanding warrant in Montgomery County for failing to stop or remain stop. He was also wanted in Louisiana for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The deputy asked Hebert to step out of the car. At that time, Hebert fired a shot toward the deputy and fled on foot into the nearby Valley Ranch subdivision.

Deputies searched the area for Hebert with the help of a drone. Hebert was discovered by the drone pilot in the backyard of a home on American Yellowwood Place.

Deputies confronted Hebert who raised his weapon towards them. Two Precinct 4 deputy constables fired their weapons at Hebert. He was taken to a hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Hebert is charged with three counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer with a deadly weapon, evading on foot, and unlawful carrying of a weapon. His bond is set at $227,000.

Sarah Frame (Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable's Office)

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Sarah Frame, 28, of Conroe, is charged with possession of a controlled substance. Her bond is set at $4,500.

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and the Texas Rangers are investigating the shooting.
