Flight delays at Houston’s Bush and Hobby airports amid severe thunderstorms

HOUSTON – Flight delays have been reported at Bush Intercontinental Airport and Houston William P. Hobby Airport on Thursday afternoon and evening due to severe thunderstorms in the Houston area.

Bush Airport released the following statement:

Due to area storms, expect flight delays and interruptions this Sunday. To avoid terminal congestion, please wait at our cellphone lots until your passenger is ready for pickup.

United Airlines stated that its team will continue to monitor weather conditions as storms roll through Southeast Texas:

Our operations team continues to monitor weather developments in Houston and adjust our schedule accordingly. We currently have waivers in place for customers traveling to, from or through IAH and other impacted cities.
