Wanted murder suspect arrested in Spring

A man wanted in connection with a 2023 murder is now in police custody after being apprehended in Spring during an unrelated domestic disturbance.

On May 3, Harris County deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a discharged firearm report at the 2600 block of Park Spring Lane in Spring.

When deputies arrived, they identified the perpetrator as Tarrence Knapper, a man who had a warrant stemming from the killing of Bryson Jacoby Walton in December 2023.

Knapper also had seven additional outstanding misdemeanor warrants and was in possession of 4.74 grams of crack cocaine and marijuana when he was arrested.

Knapper was booked into Harris County Jail on charges of murder and possession of a controlled substance. His bond has not been set at this time.
