Pilot receives minor injuries after plane crashes in field near Baytown Airport

BAYTOWN – A pilot of a small plane that crashed in a field near the Baytown Airport after experiencing an engine failure self-transported himself to an emergency room following the crash.

The plane landed in a field in the 6200 block of Barkaloo Road.

According to the Baytown Fire Department, the plane was attempting to land when it experienced engine failure and initiated an emergency landing.

There were no other passengers or injuries.
