HOUSTON – A woman was found dead in a ditch almost 10 months ago. Police now believe they've found her killer.
Forty-four-year-old Harold James Lowdins has been charged with murder. Police arrested him Monday.

They believe he killed 41-year-old Bridgette Mercer, who may have been homeless.
Her body was found in January in a ditch in downtown Houston.
Investigators used DNA evidence to make the arrest.
