HPD: Man killed for cell phone; police hunt for shooter No description found
HOUSTON – Police are looking for two men in connection with a deadly robbery in northwest Houston.
According to investigators, around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 100000 block of Haddington Drive, two robbers held two men at gunpoint and demanded their wallets and phones.
The thieves took one phone, then ran to a nearby car. One of the victims, who ran after the thieves, was shot in the head as the robbers sped away.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Both thieves got away, police said.
