Homeowner fires shots at man peeking through window

HOUSTON – Deputies with the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office are looking for a man who tried to break into a home in the 6700 block of Pheasant Oak Drive in the Great Oaks subdivision.

The homeowners believe there were two other men who were also involved.

It happened on Aug. 4 just before 2 a.m.

“There was a guy with his hands up against the front window on the door looking inside the house,” the homeowner told KPRC.

Her husband grabbed his gun as the man tried to get inside.

“I said, ‘Stop! I’ll shoot. Stop! I’ll shoot,” the homeowner said.

He fired three rounds through the front door, which scared the burglars away, but deputies don’t believe the men were hit.

“I don’t know if you’re coming to hurt me, I don’t know if you’re coming to take my stuff,” she said.

Surveillance video captured images of the suspects. It’s believed they were in a black, four-door SUV, possibly a Tahoe.

One of the suspects is described as a white or Hispanic male, 18-25 years old. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 140 pounds.

Information that leads to the apprehension and filing of charges against the suspect could result In a $5,000 reward.
