Homeless man, woman attacked homeowners with scissors, flashlight, police say

Williams, England both due in court June 9

HOUSTON – Two homeless people are facing charges after police said they attacked two homeowners with scissors and a flashlight during a robbery in Montrose on Tuesday.

Darriah Williams and Christopher England are charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. They are both being held in the Harris County Jail on $30,000 bail.

 According to police, the two homeowners spotted Williams and England taking items from a box on their front porch at their home on Avondale Street and Helena Street.

When the homeowners confronted the pair, Williams and England became combative, with England attacking the victims with a pair of scissors and Williams attacking them with a metal flashlight, police said.

The two ran away after the attack, and police said officers later found them at the intersection of Lincoln Street and California Street.

Police said the pair were homeless.

Williams and England are due in court on Friday.
