Crews searching for missing 16-year-old girl in Texas City

BAYTOWN, Texas – Police said they are investigating the deaths of a mother and her daughter whose bodies were found in a Baytown house Tuesday afternoon.

Police have arrested Jesse Dobbs, a person of interest in the shootings, after they say he abducted a 16-year-old relative. Police also recovered a vehicle they believe may be tied to the crime. The girl is the older sister in the family and is still missing.

Police and crews were actively searching the Texas City area for the 16-year-old, but have since called off the search for the night.

"My heart goes out to the family," neighbor Victoria Wenger said. "There was the boyfriend that stayed there, seemed like he stayed the night all the time."

Kirsten Nicole Fritch was last seen with Dobbs, 22, who police took into custody in Texas City after we entered a bar asking for water. Police were searching the area around the bar for Fritch.

Cynthia Morris and her daughter, Breanna Pavilicek's bodies were found about 11 a.m. at 5423 Louise St.

According to Baytown police, Morris' mother called officers to the home to conduct a welfare check. Detectives found the door unlocked.

Investigators said both victims appeared to have been shot at least once and their bodies were in a back room of the house.

Morris' mother said the family did not approve of a relationship between Dobbs and Fritch.

"It's unbelievable," William Naron, who has known Dobbs for many years, said. "He told me not too long ago that he was going numb. He didn't care anymore. He said he doesn't care what he does."
